Gartner’s July 1 Research Note* on AP Invoice Automation asks “Is Your AP Invoice Processing Really Automated? Probably Not!”
In this research note, Gartner says, "Getting an invoice in a digital form is just the first step in driving efficiency. Matching high percentages of invoices autonomously is the next frontier." We believe, in order to be a qualified as a Smart processing solution the capabilities should be:
- "No touch matching” for complete and verified invoices
- "Autonomous matching” for invoices that are close enough for a knowledgeable person to approve, but now AI and RPA substitute for labor
- "Smart workflows” for those invoices that need human intervention
- The Shelby Group is honored to be recognized as one of the five vendors noted to have “Smart Processing” capabilities. (We are also the only one of the five certified to work with a P2P platform – Coupa).
